The children at Third Street School are diverse, well-rounded, top-scoring students who will continue on to higher education and become distinguished, civic-minded leaders of tomorrow. Our talented teachers and staff have cultivated students whose state testing performance places Third Street as one of the top public elementary schools in Los Angeles.
Our parent volunteer groups are dedicated to supporting students, teachers and faculty through community-building initiatives, classroom support and the funding of enrichment programs, school-wide technology and professional development.
FRIENDS OF THIRD
Friends of Third is a 501(c)3 non-profit parent booster group dedicated to providing classroom support, enriching programs and technology for all students at Third Street School. We rely on our community of parents, faculty, relatives, neighbors and local businesses to make our vital programs possible.
Parent volunteers raise funds to support our teachers and students in this journey. Together, we fund a budget of over $500,000 through Annual Giving and other school-wide events throughout the year to provide technology, arts, music, physical education, library services, classroom materials, field trips, teacher assistants and professional development for our teachers.

PTA
Third Street PTA is part of the national organization whose mission is to provide a powerful voice for children, be a relevant resource for families and communities and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.
The PTA partners with the principal, teachers and staff to make your child's school a safe, welcoming, and fun place to be. Our school programs include Welcome Back Breakfast, Book Fair, School Garden, Reflections Art Competition, Campus Safety, Spirit Days, Recycling, Teacher/Staff Appreciation and more!
By becoming a PTA member, you are helping to make sure that all parents' and family members' voices are heard when important decisions at Third Street Elementary are made. By joining, you are supporting the National PTA, the largest and most powerful children's advocacy organization in the country.
